Big Tree Ornament
$20.00
This double-sided ornament depicts one of Boone County's most iconic and beloved landmarks -- the huge burr oak tree near the Katy Trail and McBaine, MO. One side shows a stylized view from above the tree in winter, including farmer Williamson's fallow soybean fields and Burr Oak Road. The flip side depicts the same overhead view in the summertime.
This tree has stood here around 400 years! Lewis and Clark probably spotted it when they passed. It's the largest burr oak in Missouri and one of the largest anywhere. Even if you don't buy my ornament, you should visit this tree whenever you get a chance.
Actual size (tree): 287" circumference x 90' tall x 130' spread
Actual size (ornament): about 3.2" (80mm) diameter
